Leggero Restaurant London
On 28th February 2018 by HelenA couple of weeks ago now I went to London to see my best friend Emily for a girly catch up and a very belated birthday dinner. I let her choose where we went as she lives in London and always manages to find us cool little places to visit and this was no exception. We went to Leggero on Old Compton Street. It’s a completely gluten free Italian restaurant. Italian food is my favourite and this place was great.
The restaurant itself is very small and narrow and we had a bit of a wait for a table even though we booked. However once we were sat down the table was ours and we didn’t feel like we were being rushed to finish.
I had ‘Sorghum large Ravioli’ filled with gorgonzola cheese and beetroot with pistachio and rocket pesto and Emily had the special which was gluten free ravioli filled with crab. For dessert we had a kind of gluten free ice cream cake with dark chocolate sauce and caramel. I had wine to drink and Emily had an Aperol cocktail.
Overall the food was great and the atmosphere was lovely. I’d recommend this place if you are gluten free as there’s a massive choice on the menu and I was really impressed. The staff are really friendly. I’ll be going back for sure when I’m next in the area.
PS: the pictures may not be that great because I was spending too much time chatting but trust me the food is delicious
