Christmas at Kew Gardens 2018
On 28th December 2018 by HelenKew Gardens aka the most enchanting place you’ll ever see at Christmas. Just like last year Christmas at Kew was my present from mum, and just like last year we spent the early afternoon on Oxford Street shopping and having lunch at the fabulous Hemsley and Hemsley in Selfridges (100% gluten free restaurant) before making our way to Kew.
Unlike last year the lights at Kew were different. The show was much bigger and took far longer to walk around. It was absolutely gorgeous. Some of the usual light displays were there but had been given a ‘face lift’ and some were some entirely new. This year even involved lasers.
As always the whole way around there were stalls selling mulled wine (sadly not gluten free), mulled apple juice, hot chocolate and food. There was also my favourite marshmallow stall there. The company who sell the marshmallows were so clued up on allergens. All marshmallows were packed separately and the lady serving me even changed her gloves to avoid cross contamination. The raspberry and champagne marshmallow was to die for, though I ate it far too quickly and felt sick for a good 10-15 minutes afterwards.
If you’re ever looking for something to do around Christmas that suits all age groups then I would 100% be recommending this!! I hope you enjoy the photos.
