Chinese New Year
On 29th January 2017 by HelenThis week marks Chinese New Year and once again Sydney did not disappoint with its celebrations. Any excuse for a party right?! The main attractions have been at Martin Place and Circular Quay.
Martin Place has a bar set up which spans half the distance of the street whilst Circular Quay has light up statues of all the animals which mark the different Chinese years.
This year is the year of the Rooster. According to literature at the Quay if you are born in the year if the Rooster you are honest, energetic and intelligent, confident and hard working. You are a Rooster if you were born in the following years 2017, 2005, 1993, 1981, 1969, 1957, 1945, 1933.
I’m represented by the snake (1989), I felt it’s description was very accurate saying a person born under the snake is private, wise and intuitive, enigmatic and puts themselves first. Maybe the wise bit isn’t so accurate but that’s something you develop over the years but the rest was pretty spot on!
I’ve attached the pictures underneath, have a look and see which year you are and if it the description represents you! The only animal I couldn’t find on my walk was the dog or the description for the rat! If I can find them I’ll upload a separate post.
