Bill’s for Breakfast
On 7th April 2017 by HelenOn Thursday I went for breakfast at one of my favourite places, Bills. Back in the UK Bills is a chain of restaurants but over in Australia Bills is owned by Bill Grainger – celebrity chef (in London his restaurant is Grainger & Co, which is also amazing). He has a few restaurants in the Sydney including Surrey Hills and Bondi. I went to the Surrey Hills restaurant last time I was in Sydney and that’s where I went this time with my roommate Andi. As per usual the food and atmosphere were great. It’s a bit yummy mummy/ corporate in terms of clientele if you catch my drift but I like it.
I had a Fresh Aussie breakfast made up of gravlax, avocado, kale, tomatoes and I added extra halloumi, Andi had corn fritters. I had a fresh orange juice and latte and Andi had a sunrise smoothy.
Mine was delicious but I wasn’t such a fan of the gravlax, there was a herb I wasn’t really liking so I was glad I ordered the extra halloumi.
The service was a little bit slow but that didn’t distract from the overall experience.
My top tip is get there early as you can’t book unless you’re a party over 8. We got there about 8:45am and that was perfect because as soon as we sat down a queue started to form. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast if you’re in Sydney!
